Before you start

graphos-factory needs macOS or Linux (WSL on Windows) with bash, curl, git and jq, plus Java 17 or later for its end-to-end and live test layers.

Try saying

>Turn this REST API into a subgraph for my supergraph

With graphos-factory, Claude builds an Apollo Connectors subgraph in a git workspace of its own, records the operations, fields and design decisions you pick, and checks that it composes and passes its tests.

Worth knowing

The plugin also connects Claude to Apollo's hosted GraphOS tools MCP server at mcp.apollographql.com.

The first time graphos-factory runs, it downloads its own binary (about 3 MB) into ~/.cache/graphos-factory-core/. Its wider toolchain is installed only after you agree.

Apollo calls this repo experimental and not officially supported like its other repos. apollo-connectors is deprecated and will be removed; graphos-factory replaces it.
