A plug going into a small server

What you get

Five commands for everyday Slack jobs. /slack:draft-announcement saves a draft in Slack for you to send yourself.

  • /slack:summarize-channel
  • /slack:find-discussions
  • /slack:draft-announcement
  • /slack:standup
  • /slack:channel-digest

Before you start

Your Slack workspace admin must approve the MCP integration before you can sign in.

Try saying

>/slack:standup

Claude finds your messages since yesterday, reads their threads and writes a Done, Doing and Blockers update. It shows it to you first; you can edit it or ask Claude to post it to a channel.

Worth knowing

The plugin connects to Slack's hosted server at mcp.slack.com. You sign in to your workspace with OAuth the first time you use it. Claude can then search public and private channels, files and people, read profiles, and send or schedule messages.

Comes with nine skills

They load when your request calls for them. All but slack-search work without the Slack connection.

  • slack-messaging
  • slack-search
  • slack-api
  • block-kit
  • create-slack-app
  • deploy-slack-app
  • and 3 more
