Stripe's own guidance while Claude builds
Skills kept up to date by Stripe's product teams help Claude plan, build and upgrade a Stripe integration. Stripe's hosted server gives it live lookups and actions in your Stripe account.
Scan checks all of stripe/ai on your computer, before anything installs.
Codepit runs on your computer. Open this page there to scan it before installing.

What you get
Two commands: one explains a Stripe error and writes handling code in your project's language, the other lists test card numbers for a scenario.
- explain-error
- test-cards
Before you start
A Stripe account to sign in to the hosted server with OAuth. Some skills run the Stripe CLI, which the plugin suggests installing if it's missing.
Try saying
Claude uses the connect-recommend skill to turn your business description into a concrete Connect setup.
Worth knowing
The plugin reports the name of each Stripe skill Claude uses to Stripe. Set DISABLE_TELEMETRY or DO_NOT_TRACK to 1 to turn this off.
Now and then, mostly after a failed Stripe tool call, it asks Claude to draft feedback for Stripe. Claude shows you the draft and asks before sending anything. The same setting turns this off.
When a session starts, it checks whether the Stripe CLI is installed, signed in and up to date, and may suggest installing or updating it. It never installs anything itself.
The hosted server at mcp.stripe.com can act in your Stripe account, not just look things up. The stripe-pay skill can send money to another Stripe business, and must show you the exact command and get your OK first.
Stripe's teams update the skills often. They sync from docs.stripe.com, so what they say can change between versions.
