Claude writes the failing test first
Before any new code, Claude writes one test, watches it fail, then writes only what makes it pass. If a test never failed, you can't know it tests the right thing.
Scan checks all of obra/superpowers on your computer, before anything installs.
Codepit runs on your computer. Open this page there to scan it before installing.

How it works
Red
Write one small test for the behavior. Run it and confirm it fails for the right reason.
Green
Write the simplest code that makes it pass. Nothing extra.
Refactor
Clean up with the tests still green, then start the next test.
When it kicks in
- New features
- Bug fixes
- Refactoring
- Behavior changes
For throwaway prototypes, generated code and configuration files, Claude asks you first.
Try saying
Claude starts with a failing test for the limit, and only then touches the route.
Worth knowing
Installing the Superpowers plugin also brings brainstorming's optional visual companion. Its logo loads from Prime Radiant's website along with your Superpowers version number, nothing about your project or prompts. Set SUPERPOWERS_DISABLE_TELEMETRY (or Claude Code's DISABLE_TELEMETRY) to turn it off.
Comes with Superpowers
This skill ships inside the Superpowers plugin, so you get its other 14 skills too.
